Deanery Day Saturday 24 May 2025

There will be a Deanery Day on the 24th May for Anglican chaplaincies in the Netherlands.  It will be at the Church of St. John and St. Philip in The Hague (Ary van der Spuyweg 1, 2585 JA Den Haag). The guest speaker will be the Revd Sarah-Jane King, Chaplain of St. Martha and St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Leuven in Belgium. The theme will be ‘Passing on (and receiving) the Baton’.

The Deanery Day this year is mainly for lay officers (e.g. churchwardens, treasurers, secretaries, archdeaconry representatives, safeguarding officers, environmental officers) and for those who might be interested in becoming lay officers in the future.  But it is not just for lay officers, everyone from our chaplaincies is welcome.  It is from 10:00 to 15:30.

The Deanery Day is free and lunch will be provided.

10:00    Arrival and coffee/tea

10:30    Welcome, introduction and worship

10:45    Session 1 with our speaker The Revd Sarah-Jane King

12:00    Break-out groups for Wardens, Secretaries, Treasurers etc.

12:45    Lunch, which will be provided

13:45    Session 2 with our speaker The Revd Sarah-Jane King

14:30    Church opens for prayer

14:45    Eucharist

15:30    Close
